IBDP Weekly Bazaar Strengthening Market Access & Supporting Transition of Home-Based Businesses into Formal Enterprises
The Inclusive Business Development Park (IBDP), an initiative of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development & Management Company (KPEZDMC) financed through the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC) Project of the World Bank, successfully organized its weekly bazaar to support home-based and emerging entrepreneurs.
The weekly bazaar provides a structured platform for local SMEs, home-based producers, women-led businesses, and micro-entrepreneurs to showcase their products, connect with customers, and gain visibility in a formal business environment. This initiative represents a significant step toward transforming informal home-based businesses into established micro and small enterprises, contributing to a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem in Western Greater Peshawar.
Mr. Imran Zahoor, Project Director KPEC, visited the bazaar to observe the progress of the initiative and interact with participating entrepreneurs. During the visit, he appreciated the efforts of the IBDP team in creating an enabling platform that enhances market access & business linkages, and encourages economic inclusion. He expressed confidence that the weekly bazaar would continue to grow as a catalyst for innovation, business confidence, and community-led economic development.
The IBDP Weekly Bazaar is aligned with KPEC’s broader objective to promote employment, strengthen SME competitiveness, and support inclusive economic growth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
